Most people’s experience with Physical Therapy is because that individual may have had back pain or a shoulder injury. Rarely does a person become introduced to a Physical Therapist because of foot pain.
Marietta Podiatry Group and Dr. Matthew G. Butler, Physical Therapist, understood the importance of Physical Therapy concerning the Foot/Ankle. On April 30, 2001, MPG and Dr. Butler began working together to establish a unique Physical Therapy Center that focused on these Foot/Ankle issues.
Over the next 10 years, thousands of patients were treated at MPG Physical Therapy. During the winter of 2011, the physicians of the Ankle and Foot Centers of Georgia recognized that they could enhance their patient’s experience and improve outcomes by establishing their own Physical Therapy Center. Dr. Joseph Giovinco approached MPG Physical Therapy about working together to create the Physical Therapy Centers of Georgia.
On April 21, 2011, our Peachtree City Office opened their doors and began treating the patients of the Ankle and Foot Centers of Georgia. By 2013 the PTCG opened a 3rd office in Stockbridge, GA. While each office has its own personality, they all share licensed, healthcare professionals who have chosen to utilize their extensive physical therapy backgrounds to help you “put your best foot forward”.
